Bliss has partnered with both JustGiving and Avenue to design and develop a new Umbraco based microsite to help raise awareness of Sunshine Funds and to boost online donations.
A Sunshine Fund enables parents, relatives and friends of a baby born premature or sick to donate to Bliss in their name. Bliss Sunshine Fund holders enable Bliss to ensure that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life. A Sunshine Fund keeps track of all Bliss fundraising in the name of the child, whether it’s a single online donation, regular monthly donation, or sponsorship as part of an event.
Anna Dixon, Client Services Director at Avenue said; “The Sunshine Fund platform is the result of combining the very latest Just Giving API technology with Avenue's expertise in digital design and Umbraco development. We were very proud to partner with Bliss on the project and its hugely rewarding to have been a part of the team delivering this initiative for the charity."
"With Bliss supporters able to now keep track of all their charity events and funds in one place, we are confident that as new funds are set up, and with existing fund holders more engaged, online donations are set to soar."
Rachel Hedley, Supporter Engagement manager at Bliss said; "It’s very exciting to see the results of our work with Avenue and JustGiving to give our Sunshine Fund holders a better and easier fundraising experience. We have already had appreciative comments from members of our Sunshine Fund community telling us it will make their fundraising so much easier. Avenue have made the whole project so easy to realise and we’re looking forward to developing even greater functionality for our Sunshine Fund holders in the future."
